The National Treasury has invited Kenyans to submit their views on the draft Privatisation Bill, 2023, legislation which could have significant implications for Mombasa and its port.

Okoa Mombasa encourages members of the public to read the bill and submit their comments as soon as possible. Comments and other input can be sent via post to the Treasury, hand delivered or emailed to privatisation@treasury.go.ke. The deadline for comments i by February 7, 2023.
The government is also planning an in-person public participation exercise for Mombasa residents on Jan. 31 at Travellers Beach Hotel and Club in Mombasa, starting at 8 am.
